Overview

We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Assistant Business Development Manager to support sales growth across East Malaysia. This role is focusing on identifying new business opportunities while maintaining and expanding existing distributor relationships. The ideal candidate is proactive, analytical, and able to drive revenue growth through strong business development and account management.

Responsibilities
  • Distributor Management: Build, maintain, and strengthen relationships with distributors to maximize performance and achieve sales targets.
  • New Business Development (Hunter): Identify and pursue new business opportunities, prospects, and market segments to drive revenue growth.
  • Account Management (Farmer): Manage existing accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction, repeat business, and long-term partnerships.
  • Sales Planning & Execution: Develop and implement sales strategies, promotional activities, and campaigns to meet business objectives.
  • Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to inform business decisions and improve performance.
  • Reporting & CRM: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipeline, and forecasts; provide regular updates to management.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5–8 years of experience in business development, sales, or distributor management, preferably in industrial, petroleum, or related sectors.
  • Proven track record in both hunting for new business and farming existing accounts.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently.
