About the role

We’re looking for a Assistant Brand Manager to join the Malaysia Fragrance team. This is a newly added role that will be responsible not only for the commercial success of the business unit under his/her care, but also the acceleration of Coty’s ambitions through impactful marketing strategy and impeccable execution.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities:

Brand Management

• Owning end-to-end process from planning assistance to execution of New product launch and campaign management within A&CP budget and local priorities

• Partner Media and PR Agencies to develop cohesive Media and PR Strategy to build brand desirability, and support launches and brand development

• Track and monitoring key metrics (reach, impressions, brand recall, etc.) and evaluate the ROI.

• Lead the collaboration with retailers to ensure consistent and effective execution of brand strategies and mechanics across all sales channels.

Trade Marketing - BTL, Retail & Omni - Channel Marketing

• Plan and execute BTL promotions across Dept Stores, Sephora and Perfumery and Ecommerce channels for in-store, omni excellence

• Develop exclusive offerings and promotions tailored to various customers/channels and end consumers

• Plan and execute animations and podiums with Key Accounts, Visual Merchandising and Retail Operations. Conceptualize and supervise the implementation of brand-building and sales-generating events that express the brand’s heritage, image, and expertise

• Co-own brand-, category- and BA-productivity with Retail Operations and Key Accounts

• Support retail excellence team with monthly sales activation planning, identifying opportunities to maximize performance and mitigate risks along with Brand Manager.

• Work closely with the Visual Merchandising and Retail Excellence teams to execute product staging, promotional materials, and POS displays that enhance the shopper journey.

• Support training initiatives for Beauty Advisors, ensuring brand messaging, promotions, and customer interactions are executed with excellence.

Demand Planning & Forecasting

• Provide brand analysis for new marketing initiatives forecast, and work with key stakeholders to drive global and local ambitions and priorities; rephase forecasts as required and track performance of innovations and key franchises/categories

• Manage salable & collaterals inventory and make plans as required for discontinuations and E&O reduction

• Shape upcoming forecasts based on a review of Commercial sell-out results from NPD and on-shot promotions.

Reporting & Others

• Weekly, Monthly and Quarterly reporting per brand and APAC requirements, and managing adhoc reporting requests as required

• Analyse sales on per-SKU and per-store basis to ensure that the brand’s tactics are working towards the achievement of total brand targets

• Identify opportunity and risks per-SKU and shape upcoming forecasts based on a review of Commercial sell-out results from NPD and on-shot promotions.

  • Minimally 5 years of 360° brand management experience in Luxury Beauty (Fragrance, Skincare & Makeup) within Malaysia domestic market.
  • Significant relevant experience in Free Standing Stores, Department Store and Sephora channels, with a strong understanding of the retail drumbeat and landscape in Malaysia.
  • Experience in multi-brand portfolio management is preferred
  • A proven track record in brand-building and expansion; a strategic thinker who does not gloss over details
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize effectively and work under pressure
  • Highly detailed with strong organizational and analytical skills; attuned with performance marketing
  • A team player, ability to develop effective working relationships both internally & externally and excel in a multi-cultural environment
  • Proactive, agile, with a strong business acumen
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
