A leading software company in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Senior Accountant with at least 5 years of experience in accounting roles, preferably in manufacturing or warehousing. The candidate must possess a bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, with professional qualification being an advantage. Responsibilities include overseeing accounting operations, preparing financial reports, ensuring compliance with standards, and providing insights for business decisions. Strong analytical and communication skills, along with proficiency in UBS and SQL software, are required.
Education: A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Professional Qualification such as ACCA/CPA/CIMA is an added advantage).
Experience: At least 5 years in a Senior Accountant role, preferably in manufacturing or warehouse environments. Minimum 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory responsibilities.
Skills: Reporting, budgeting, forecasting; analytical and problem‑solving skills with ability to interpret financial data; strong communication and interpersonal skills; proficiency with accounting software (UBS & SQL) and Microsoft Office; familiarity with Malaysian accounting standards and tax regulations; ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and handle confidential information with integrity.
Languages: Proficiency in English and Mandarin is an added advantage.
Assisting in overseeing day‑to‑day accounting operations, including accounts receivable (monthly debtors’ collection), accounts payable, and general ledger management.
Preparing various month‑end and year‑end process reconciliations including bank, ledger, and stock reconciliations.
Preparing and overseeing management reports, monthly meeting reports for all companies, year‑end process and financial analysis to support strategic decisions.
Reviewing and approving journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
Monitoring E‑Invoicing, company tax documentation and submission.
Liaising with tax agents, external auditors, company secretary, bankers, and other relevant bodies when required.
Monitoring and ensuring compliance with all relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal control policies.
Collaborating with cross‑functional teams to provide financial insights and recommendations to drive business growth.
Supporting the implementation of financial systems and processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Supervising and guiding subordinates.
Performing other ad‑hoc tasks as assigned by superiors from time to time.
