Job description

Overview

The position involves a high level of responsibility to provide engineering, calibration and maintenance support on automation systems, particularly in Automated Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS).

Responsibilities

• ASRS System Maintenance & Troubleshooting - Perform daily maintenance on the control system including visual and health checks on the control system and hardware, identifying possible issues and fixing them. Perform troubleshooting and investigation for any disruption or failure. Recommend and follow up with corrective actions and preventive actions to eliminate similar disruption or failure. Maintain asset records, scheduled maintenance plans and spare parts’ records.
• System Improvement & Data Analysis - Identify and prioritize improvements to ASRS equipment and processes by analyzing production and equipment data. Identify key performance indicators for ASRS from a variety of operational and machine sources to develop models and reporting systems that monitor and alert teams when KPIs indicate poor performance to process limits. Maintain comprehensive technical subject matter expertise of existing target material handling systems and technology specifications. Provide training to end users and technicians on the process control system. Define annual operational expense budgets for maintenance labor and spare parts.
• Technical Documentation & Compliance - Upkeep of documentation for ASRS maintenance and liaise with external vendors on technical support. Maintain system compliance documents and implementations for key food safety, work safety and health and regulatory requirement.
• Safety and System Compliance - Be fully proactive and aware of occupational health and safety standards at the workplace, ensure full compliance and safeguarding oneself, colleagues, and the Company from any detrimental incidents. Lead and support workers on ASRS cranes and machineries in warehouse and ensure the workers comply with safety procedures.
• Other - To perform any other duties as and when assigned by superior from time to time.

Requirements

• Candidate must possess a Degree in Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical/Automation) or equivalent
