Job summary

A leading agricultural estate firm in Kuala Lumpur seeks an individual to improve FFB yields through nutrient analysis, optimize production while minimizing costs, and formalize company policies on agronomic standards. Responsibilities include liaising with Estate Managers to implement best practices and prepare necessary reports for fertilization and certifications. Ideal candidates should have knowledge in agriculture and a passion for improving agricultural outputs.

  • Improve FFB yields through nutrient analysis and soil condition understanding.
  • Maximise FFB production while minimising costs.
  • Select appropriate oil palm seeds and seedlings for replanting.
Job description
Responsibilities
  1. Improvement of current FFB yields through:
    Analyzing the nutrient requirements of oil palms
    Understanding of existing soil conditions
    Recommendation of fertilisers & their application
  2. Miximising FFB production whilst minimising production cost;
  3. Recommendation & selection of oil palm seeds & seedlings type of replanting;
  4. Formalising Company policies with respect to agronomic standards & best practices;
  5. Recommend areas for replanting based on current & potential yields;
  6. Liasing with Estate Managers to implement agronomic best practices;
  7. Liasing with Estate Managers to identify agronomic problems & assisting with solutions;
  8. Preparing monthly performance reports;
  9. Preparing forecast FFB productions figures;
  10. Preparing fertilizer schedule for each estate;
  11. Preparing documentations for MSPO and/or RSPO Certification;
  12. Any other tasks / objectives which may be assigned from time to time.
