Job summary

A recruitment agency for seniors based in Subang Jaya is seeking a mature Administrative Officer to manage financial transactions and provide administrative support. The ideal candidate should have a diploma in accounting or finance, along with essential accounting skills. Responsibilities include data entry, accounts payable/receivable, and assisting with audits. This full-time position operates Monday to Friday with half-day Saturdays when required, offering a stable work environment for experienced professionals.

Qualifications

  • SPM with relevant working experience is acceptable.
  • Diploma / Certificate in relevant fields is preferable.

  • Record daily financial transactions and maintain accounting records.

Our Client supplies and provides services for electrical and instrument cables mainly for the oil and gas industry.

The Company is now looking to hire a mature senior/ retiree as Administrative Officer, with responsibilities that include the following:

Responsibilities
  • Data Entry & Record Keeping: Record daily financial transactions (invoices, receipts, payments). Maintain and update accounting records in accounting software (e.g., SQL, AutoCount, UBS, QuickBooks).
  • Accounts Payable & Receivable: Prepare and issue invoices to customers. Process supplier bills and ensure timely payments. Follow up on outstanding customer payments. Prepare bank reconciliation statements. Record petty cash and bank transactions. Assist in month‑end and year‑end closing.
  • Administrative Support: File and organize accounting documents. Assist auditors with supporting documents when required. Help prepare reports such as balance sheets or profit & loss summaries.
Requirements

Qualifications

  • SPM with relevant working experience, or
  • Diploma / Certificate in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration

Skills & Attributes

  • Basic accounting knowledge (double entry, journals, etc.)
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy
  • Computer literacy (Microsoft Excel, accounting software)
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Honest, reliable, and able to maintain confidentiality

Office hours

8.30am - 5.00pm Mondays - Fridays

Half day on Saturdays as may be required
