Job summary

A leading accounting firm in Malaysia is seeking an experienced Accounts Executive / Senior Accounts Executive to oversee the finance team. In this role, you will ensure timely submission of accounts, manage annual audit and compliance, and prepare monthly financial reports. The ideal candidate holds a diploma in accounting with 3 to 10 years of relevant experience, strong leadership qualities, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Knowledge of Mandarin is an advantage for client interactions.

Job description
Accounts Executive / Senior Accounts Executive

Accounts Executive / Senior Accounts Executive oversees a team to ensure the company's products or services are delivered on time, on budget and up to the client's standards.

Primary Duties
  • To ensure timely submission and responsible in preparation of full sets of accounts, monthly financial reporting, monthly management accounts, maintenance of bank accounts, bank clearing and journal entries.
  • To ensure timely submission of end month closing reports to the head of Finance.
  • To prepare monthly management reports, including cash flow management.
  • Manage and handle annual audit and corporate taxation completion for regulatory and compliance requirement.
  • Manage Accounts Payable and Receivable transactions, ensure their accuracy and completeness.
  • Ensure all other accounting records are update at all time, such as fixed assets schedule, register Cash book, and database are file accordingly.
  • Plan and organize for core arrears such as statutory reporting, tax, treasury matters, annual budgeting and any others business and finance initiatives.
  • To assist in implementing effective internal controls and maintain proper accounting reports.
  • Any other ad-hoc projects/assignment (which may entail some other financial and accounting matters) and duties as and when required by the company.
Requirements
  • Candidate must possess at least Diploma in accounting or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 to 10 years of working experience in accounting field related.
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience in Autocount accounting systems will be added advantage.
  • Required language: English and Mandarin will be added advantage as the role require to liaise with Mandarin speaking clients from China or other countries.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving skills and able to work with minimum supervision.
  • Meticulous, possess initiative and able to work independently.
  • Mature personality who possess excellent leadership and inter personal skills.
