Job summary

A prominent construction firm in Puchong seeks an Accounts Executive to supervise and coordinate accounting activities for projects. The ideal candidate should have a degree in Accounting & Finance or a relevant professional qualification, with at least two years of experience in accounting functions. Responsibilities include ensuring accurate financial reporting, liaising with debtors and creditors, and providing training to team members. Supervise and coordinate all accounting activities of assigned projects and/or functions, including the preparation of timely and accurate accounts and management reports.

Verify accounting transactions to ensure expenditures are reasonable.

Monitor and control budgets set by the Project Director and Head of Department.

Assist in formulating and implementing finance and accounting policies, methods, and procedures.

Liaise with debtors and creditors on all financial matters.

Coordinate with the Project Team and other departments to ensure smooth accounting operations and documentation procedures.

Ensure proper filing of accounting documents for efficient retrieval of required information.

Supervise, monitor, appraise, and train subordinates in the team.

Undertake any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the superior.

Job Requirement:

Recognized Degree/Diploma in Accounting & Finance, or professional qualification (ACCA/MACPA/CIMA or equivalent).

Minimum 2 years’ relevant working experience in accounting functions.

Fresh graduates/degree holders may also be considered.

Self-motivated, proactive, independent, with good interpersonal skills.

Preferably a degree holder with a professional accounting qualification.
