  • You have knowledge of fundamental accounting principles and practices, with 2-3 years of experience in an accounting or bookkeeping assistant role being beneficial but not essential.
  • Familiar with SQL Accounting Software, MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, enabling you to efficiently manage financial data and create comprehensive reports.
  • You have a keen eye for detail and accuracy in handling financial data, ensuring all records are precise and reliable for decision‑making purposes.
  • Possess excellent time management and organizational skills that enable you to juggle multiple tasks and deadlines effectively while maintaining quality standards.
  • You demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills for interacting professionally with internal employees, vendors, and clients in various business situations.
  • You can work effectively both independently and as part of a team, adapting your working style to meet different project requirements and collaborative needs.
  • Fluent in Mandarin, Bahasa Malaysia and English, essential for communicating with our diverse client base and suppliers. Mandarin proficiency is particularly important for serving our Chinese‑speaking clients and coordinating with Mandarin‑speaking suppliers and subcontractors in the construction industry.
Responsibilities
  • Record financial transactions, update ledgers, and maintain accurate financial records, ensuring all data is properly documented and easily accessible for reporting purposes.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing invoices and payments while managing accounts payable and receivable functions, including following up on outstanding payments to maintain healthy cash flow.
  • Reconcile bank statements and various accounts to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies, maintaining the integrity of financial records and resolving issues promptly.
  • Assist in preparing financial statements, budget forecasts, and routine financial reports for management, providing valuable insights for business decision‑making.
  • Help check expense claims by verifying their accuracy, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure all financial transactions and records comply with company policies, accounting standards, and financial regulations, maintaining the highest standards of financial governance.
  • Handle correspondence, organize financial files, manage petty cash, and perform other administrative duties as needed to support smooth office operations.
  • Maintain proper documentation and filing of e‑invoices and related tax records.
