Job summary

A Malaysian accounting firm is seeking an individual to assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial processes. The ideal candidate should have at least one year of accounting experience or relevant qualifications, be detail-oriented, and possess strong organizational and communication skills in English and Malay, while knowledge of Chinese is a plus. This role involves supporting budgeting, audits, filing, and various administrative tasks.

Qualifications

  • Preferable to have at least 1 year of working experience in accounting.
  • Able to communicate in English and Malay; Chinese skills are an advantage.
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills.

Job Responsibilities
  • Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
  • Reconcile financial statements and transactions.
  • Assist and support budgeting and financial reporting activities.
  • Assist during the audit and tax filing process.
  • Assist with general administrative tasks as needed.
  • Monitor debtor accounts and follow up on outstanding payments.
  • Develop and maintain a filing system for financial and administrative documents.
  • Answer incoming calls, take messages and redirect calls as required.
Job Requirements
  • Preferable to have at least 1 year of working experience in accounting or having > LCCI Level 2/Diploma in Accounting/Finance or equivalent.
  • Able to communicate in English and Malay. Chinese communication skills are an advantage.
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Able to methodically process handle multiple tasks effectively, work independently, have a good attitude, and be results-oriented and self‑motivated.
