Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly experienced Senior Accountant to lead our finance team in supporting MommyHana’s Initial Public Offering (IPO) process. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate financial reports, ensuring compliance with MFRS, and managing IPO-related documentation, audits, and due diligence.

Job Descriptions
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with MFRS and IFRS standards.
  • Lead the preparation of IPO documentation for submission to auditors, regulators, and Bursa Malaysia.
  • Coordinate financial due diligence exercises and liaise with auditors, investment banks, and regulatory consultants.
  • Oversee journal entries, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
  • Ensure completeness and accuracy of all accounting transactions.
  • Provide financial analysis and strategic reports for management decision-making.
  • Ensure full compliance with Securities Commission (SC), Bursa Malaysia, and tax regulations.
  • Assist in financial modelling, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning.
  • Lead continuous improvements in financial systems, internal controls, and reporting processes.
  • Support other finance-related tasks as required by management.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Mandatory certifications: Chartered Accountant (CA) and Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in accounting, audit, or corporate finance.
  • Prior experience with IPO preparation or working in a listed company is highly advantageous.
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., SQL, AutoCount, SAP, or equivalent).
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills in both English and Bahasa Melayu.
  • Able to thrive under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Preferred Professional Certifications
  • CA (Chartered Accountant) registered with MIA – mandatory for recognised accountants in Malaysia
  • ACCA / CPA – for global professional credibility and MIA registration
  • CFA – to enhance corporate finance, investment, and IPO readiness competency
  • CIMA / CGMA – for strategic management accounting
  • DipIFR (ACCA) – for advanced financial reporting expertise (IFRS/MFRS compliance)
