Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Accountant to manage the full set of accounts for our organization. The ideal candidate will have strong exposure to the construction industry, be hands‑on with day‑to‑day accounting operations, and be able to communicate in Mandarin to liaise with Mandarin‑speaking stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle full set of accounts including AP, AR, GL, and bank reconciliations
• Prepare monthly management accounts, financial statements, and reports
• Manage project costing, progress billing, retention sums, and variation orders
• Monitor cash flow, budgeting, and cost control for construction projects
• Prepare and submit taxation matters (SST/GST, withholding tax, corporate tax)
• Liaise with auditors, tax agents, bankers, and relevant authorities
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and statutory requirements
• Support year‑end audit and financial closing activities
• Maintain proper documentation and accounting record

Requirements

• Diploma / Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on accounting experience, preferably in the construction industry
• Proven ability to handle full set of accounts independently
• Familiar with project‑based accounting and construction costing
• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Mandarin‑speaking is preferred (to liaise with Mandarin‑speaking clients, suppliers, or management)
• Strong attention to detail, problem‑solving, and time‑management skills
• Able to work independently and meet deadlines
