About the Role

The role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with accounting standards and company policies. This role supports in country commercial teams in month-end close, reconciliations, intercompany transactions, and statutory reporting coordination, driving process standardisation and continuous improvement within the Commercial Support Services function.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Month-End Close Activities
    • Prepare and post accurate journal entries including accruals, prepayments, and necessary adjustments to ensure financial statements reflect true and fair values.
    • Perform detailed General Ledger (GL) account reconciliations and variance analysis to identify discrepancies and ensure data integrity.
    • Ensure the month-end close process in alignment with the financial calendar, ensuring deadlines are met without compromising accuracy.
  2. Intercompany Accounting
    • Manage intercompany transactions across multiple entities, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with transfer pricing policies.
    • Perform intercompany reconciliations, investigate mismatches, and coordinate with relevant counterparties to resolve issues promptly.
  3. Fixed Assets & Cost Allocations
    • Maintain and update the fixed asset register, oversee depreciation runs, and process disposals in accordance with accounting standards.
    • Execute cost allocation cycles and standard costing adjustments to ensure accurate distribution of expenses across business units.
  4. Compliance & Controls
    • Ensure adherence to internal controls.
    • Provide comprehensive documentation and clear explanations during audits, addressing queries effectively.
  5. Statutory & Regulatory Support
    • Prepare and provide accurate financial data for statutory filings, tax submissions, and other regulatory requirements.
    • Collaborate with in-country finance teams to ensure compliance with country-specific laws and regulations.
  6. Continuous Improvement
    • Identify inefficiencies and process gaps, proposing solutions for automation, standardization, and best practices.
    • Participate in ERP system enhancements to improve operational efficiency, when required.
  7. Any other duties as assigned
What You’ll Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Professional certification (CPA, ACCA, CMA) preferred.
  • 2–5 years of experience in general accounting (Shared Services experience is a plus).
  • Knowledge of IFRS/local GAAP and month-end close processes.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (Epicor Kinetic, SAP, Oracle) and MS Excel.
  • Able to work independently with minimum supervision, under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Meticulous and detail‑oriented, ensuring accuracy and precision in financial reporting and reconciliations to deliver reliable and high‑quality outputs.
  • Trustworthy and principled, handling confidential information with discretion and consistently demonstrating integrity.
  • Analytical and solution‑driven, skilled at interpreting complex data, identifying issues, and applying logical, effective resolutions.
  • Structured and compliant, adhering to established guidelines, policies, and processes with a preference for clarity and consistency.
