Job summary

A reputable metal industry company in Malaysia is seeking an experienced Accountant to manage full sets of accounts, including accounts payable and receivable, and maintain accurate financial records. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and 1-2 years of relevant experience. You will also be responsible for liaising with banks, preparing cash flow forecasts, and ensuring proper financial documentation. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years' experience handling full sets of accounts and bookkeeping.

Responsibilities

  • Manage full sets of accounts including AP, AR, GL, and bank reconciliation.
  • Review and update all incoming payments into the accounting system.
  • Handle day-to-day bookkeeping and ensure records are accurate and up to date.
  • Review and process supplier invoices, staff claims, and payments with complete documentation.
  • Prepare payment runs and ensure approvals are properly tracked.
  • Maintain AR/AP ageing reports for easy tracking.
  • Liaise with banks on payments, deposits, and account matters.
  • Prepare cash flow forecasts and highlight funding or collection needs early.
  • Perform reconciliation of budget limits and supplier statements.

Job description

Manage full sets of accounts (AP, AR, GL, and bank reconciliation).

Review and update all incoming payments (cash, credit card, online transfer, etc.) into the accounting system.

Handle day-to-day bookkeeping and ensure records are tidy, accurate, and up to date.

Review and process supplier invoices, staff claims, and payments with complete documentation.

Prepare payment runs and ensure approvals are properly tracked.

Maintain AR/AP ageing reports and keep things organized for easy tracking.

3. Cash Flow & Bank Management

Liaise with banks on payments, deposits, and account matters.

Prepare cash flow forecasts and highlight funding or collection needs early.

4. Administrative & Operational Support

Perform reconciliation of budget limits, Aspire accounts, supplier statements, and bank accounts.

Support other ad-hoc accounting duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.

1-2 years’ experience handling full sets of accounts and bookkeeping.

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Detail-oriented, able to work independently and meet tight deadlines
