Job summary

A leading company in the manufacturing sector located in Penang, Malaysia, is looking for an experienced Accounting professional. The role will involve managing financial transactions, finalizing inventory and costing reports, and ensuring timely supplier payments. The ideal candidate will have a Degree or Diploma in Accounting, with at least 3 years of experience in the manufacturing industry. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software is essential, alongside strong interpersonal and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all financial transactions are correctly recorded and filed.
• To finalize monthly inventory and costing report.
• To ensure timely payment to suppliers.
• Liaise with bankers, auditors, tax agents and company secretary.
• To be involved in the costing related matters.
• Issue payment voucher and perform claims to employees.
• To carry out other accounting functions and office administrative works as assigned from time to time.
• To assist in tax computation when required.
• Assist in accounting functions such as cash flow, bank reconciliation, budget inflow and outflow, etc.

Knowledge and Expertise Required

• Degree / Diploma in Accounting with minimum 3 years working experience in Manufacturing Industry.
• Computer literate - Microsoft excel/words/ERP system and accounting software.
• Good interpersonal skill, ability to write and communicate in English.
• Detail, analytical, accurate, good with numbers, reporting and good organizational skills.
• Willing to learn, committed, sense of urgency, responsible, hardworking, proactive, positive working attitude & able to work independently with minimum supervision.
