Job description

Responsibilities

• Handle full sets of Accounts and day-to-day accounting operations.
• Responsible for month-end, quarterly-end, and year-end closing.
• Prepare accounting schedules, reconciliation of accounts, and cash flow reports.
• Able to prepare general ledger journals and perform monthly account reconciliations.
• Maintain Fixed Assets Register and ledger.
• Prepare audit schedules and attend to the queries raised by external auditors.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, corporate secretary, banks and government authorities for all statutory and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance.
• To perform data entry of invoices received from vendors and input into System.
• To prepare payment vouchers and issue cheques / create bank payments to vendors, and submit for approval.
• To ensure proper recording and filling of documents.
• Any other accounting duties assigned by the management from time to time.

Qualifications

• Candidate should possess at least SPM/Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma in Finance/Accountancy/Banking in any field.
• A minimum of 2-3 years of relevant working experience in accounting field.
• Prior experience in the construction industry is an advantage.
• Proficient in computer skills, including familiarity with accounting software (AutoCount) and Microsoft Office.
• Self-motivated and ability to work independently.
• Able to meet tight deadlines and willing to work additional hours when necessary.
• Any other ad-hoc duties as required.
