Job summary

Job description

Client: Electronic component provider
Location: Mid Valley
Working day: Mon-Fri
Tenure: Perm

Job Responsibilities

Assist in preparing forecasts and budgets, and support internal controls in line with SOX compliance (SOX knowledge is an added advantage but not mandatory).

Oversee sales or corporate accounting functions, including monthly closing activities, report submissions, journal postings, credit control, inventory management, accounts payable, taxation, audit matters, etc.
The role includes job rotation within the department based on the candidate’s capabilities and exposure.

Enhance accounting systems and procedures, and implement corrective actions where necessary.

Develop, implement, and maintain proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.

Strengthen team efficiency by providing guidance, coaching, and support to junior staff.

Perform any other ad-hoc tasks assigned by management from time to time.

Job Requirements

Possess at least a Bachelor's Degree or Professional Qualification in Accountancy, or equivalent, with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably within the same industry.

Preferably with experience in team management and cross-team coordination.

A fast learner with a proactive attitude and pleasant personality.

Strong communication skills, with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Solid understanding of accounting principles, standards, laws, and regulations.

Able to work independently, manage tight deadlines, and perform well under pressure.

Proficient in MS Office; knowledge of SAP and Power BI is an added advantage.
