Job summary

A local development company in Penang is seeking an accounting assistant to manage billing, assist with general accounting, and prepare payment vouchers. Candidates should have a diploma or degree in Business Studies and preferably one year of experience in accounting or administration. Strong communication skills in English and Mandarin are essential. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply. The role requires attention to detail and the ability to complete tasks within deadlines.

Job description
Responsibilities
  • To handle progressive billing, miscellaneous billing and other billings in accurate and promptly manner.
  • To assist in accounting activities including general accounting, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
  • Key in invoices and allocate expenses to cost centers accordingly.
  • Prepare payment vouchers and file for payment done.
  • Prepare the label & filing of the invoices & payment vouchers.
  • Update cash flow tracking listings and ensure proper transaction of account.
  • Maintain proper filing on all accounting / financial and administrative documents.
  • Check daily collection for credit admin team to issue receipt.
  • Key-in progressive billing, CN, DN, AP, AR etc into the Accounting System.
  • Perform any other duties and ad-hoc assignments as and when required by the immediate superior or any other persons assigned by the Management.
Qualifications
