A local florist shop in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an Accounting Assistant to help manage daily accounting tasks, including data entry, invoice processing, and maintaining financial records. The ideal candidate should possess a diploma in Accounting or Finance and have strong attention to detail along with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic accounting software. This role provides an opportunity to support month-end activities and liaise with auditors and tax agents. Immediate joiners preferred.
Assist in handling daily accounting tasks, including data entry, invoice processing, and payment preparation.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in the accounting system.
Prepare and issue invoices, receipts, and statements to customers and suppliers.
Assist in monitoring accounts receivable and accounts payable, including follow-ups on outstanding payments.
Able to manage the full accounting tasks for one assigned branch.
Support month-end closing activities such as bank reconciliation and basic financial reports.
Organize and maintain accounting documents and filing systems (soft copy & hard copy).
Assist with administrative tasks such as preparing documents, updating records, and coordinating with other departments.
Liaise with auditors, tax agents, and external parties when needed.
Perform any other ad-hoc duties assigned by the supervisor or management.
At least Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Basic understanding of accounting principles.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and basic accounting software.
Good attention to detail, responsibility, and ability to meet deadlines.
Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team.
Familiar in SQL Accounting system (more preferable)
Preferably able to join immediately or before January 2026.
