Sr Project Coordinator
Remote position in Mexico

The Project Coordinator is responsible for the financial management of internal and outsourced projects from initiation through closure in partnership with the Project Manager. This role supports project approval activities, manages the day-to-day operation of the approved budget to ensure the project is delivered under/on budget, and handles project closure activities within a portfolio, in adherence to Hershey's Financial Policy.

1. Project Approval: Lead the development of the project budget and the project approval process in partnership with the Product Manager.
2. Financial Management: Manage the day-to-day operation of the project budget, including reconciliation of Clarity, S/4, and the project tracker. Report financial status to the Product Manager.
3. Project Closure: Manage final postings to S/4 and complete financial-related activities.

• Project Write-up: A comprehensive document outlining the project's scope, objectives, timeline, resources, and budget.
• S/4 Internal Order (IO) / WBS: Creation of IO/WBS post-project approval and closure of IO/WBS during project closure.
• Project Budget Tracker: Initiate and manage the budget tracker to ensure proper reconciliation of forecast, actuals against Clarity and S/4 systems.

• Project Management Expertise: In-depth knowledge of project management methodologies and tools, including Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall methodologies.
• Effective Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to articulate project goals, progress, and challenges to stakeholders at all levels, including facilitating meetings and presenting updates.
• Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Ability to identify potential project budget risks and develop mitigation strategies, with analytical skills for proactive problem-solving.
• Performance Analysis: Capability to monitor and analyze project budget performance using key metrics and data.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) are preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in project management, preferably within the technology or consumer packaged goods industry, with a proven track record in managing projects from initiation to completion, focusing on budget management. Experience with internal and outsourced project delivery is highly desirable.
