Overview
The Mould Development Assistant Manager is a senior management role in the business. It includes full responsibility for managing the company’s Mould Development Team that manufacture the moulds required to produce all the company’s precast concrete products.

Required experience
- Strong Carpentry skills.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings.
- Familiarity with CAD software and computer-controlled machinery.
- Ability to operate and maintain various tools and equipment used in mould making.
Preferred (but not essential) attributes for the new Mould Development Assistant Manager
- Proven experience as a Mould Maker or similar role in a manufacturing setting.
- Strong knowledge of different mould making techniques and materials.
- Understanding of safety protocols and regulations in a manufacturing environment.

Specific Mould Development Assistant Manager Responsibilities
- The Mould Development Assistant Manager will be required to take full control of the management of the Mould Making Team to ensure that it produces the moulds required for the company’s Production Team as directed by the Factory Manager.
- Interpreting CAD models and technical drawings to understand mould specifications.
- Being able to use, and directing other employees to use, various tools, equipment, and machinery to fabricate mould components, such as cores, cavities, and inserts, according to design specifications.
- Collaborating with designers and other team members to ensure that mould designs meet functional and aesthetic requirements.
- Conducting thorough inspections and tests on completed moulds to ensure they meet quality standards, making necessary adjustments or repairs as needed.
- Troubleshooting and fixing any issues or malfunctions with moulds, identifying and resolving problems to minimize production downtime.
- Managing the maintenance and repair existing moulds by cleaning, polishing, and replacing worn or damaged components to ensure their longevity and optimal performance.
- Staying up to date with the latest industry trends, techniques, and technologies related to mould making, and incorporate innovative practices to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Adherence to safety protocols and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and quality control standards throughout the mould making process.
- Documenting and maintaining accurate records of mould specifications, modifications, repairs, and maintenance activities.
- Mould Making Team conform with the company’s Quality Management System.
