Job summary

A leading tech company in Jakarta Utara is looking for a legal professional to lead the legal team, prepare and negotiate legal documents, and advise business units. Candidates should have over 7 years of experience in the private legal sector, preferably with leadership experience and strong knowledge of fundraising. This position requires excellent communication skills in both English and Indonesia.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7+ years of working experience, preferably in a private legal sector or tech company.
• Proven leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, negotiate, and revise legal documents related to business units.
• Assist and advise on legal operations and contract matters.
• Conduct research and due diligence for agreement drafting.

Skills

Excellent communication in English and Indonesia

Job description

Prepare, review, negotiate, and revise any legal documents (agreements, confirmation letter, amendments/addendums, side letters, etc.) related to the assigned business units.

Assist and advise the assigned business units on any legal operations and contract matters, including but not limited to providing assistance on contract negotiations with partners/vendors.

Conduct research and due diligence for the purposes of agreement drafting.

Handle any day-to-day legal operations and contract matters of the assigned business units.

Support the legal operation team and provide the team with guidance/assistance where needed.

Lead the legal team and report to the VP of Legal and Compliance.

Requirements

Minimum bachelor’s degree in law. A master's degree is a plus but not essential.

Minimum 7+ years of working experience, preferably in a private legal sector or a similar position in a tech company with proven leadership experience.

Strong understanding and proven experience in handling fundraising or equity financing.

Excellent communication in English and Indonesia, both oral and written.

Can-do attitude, positive attitude, self-motivated, and eager to learn.

Ability to work and adapt in a fast-paced work environment.

Ability to establish effective communication within the team and with the business units.

Proactive, flexible, and detailed-oriented.
