A mining company in Indonesia is seeking an experienced individual to oversee gold extraction operations. The successful candidate will manage daily mining sequences and ensure adherence to safety regulations. Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering and at least three years of experience in open pit mining. This role is responsible for executing the planning, design, and supervision of all aspects of mining operations, from initial exploration through mine closure, to ensure safe, efficient, and profitable gold extraction in accordance with plans developed by the Senior Mine Planning Engineer. The position focuses on planning and managing daily mining sequences, including drill and blast activities, dump location planning, survey coordination, and close collaboration with cross-functional departments to support smooth and effective mining operations.
Some of your duties will include:
Oversee and control daily mining operations to ensure safe, efficient production in line with approved plans and targets.
Develop, integrate, and evaluate executable short- to medium-term mine plans, including pit design, haul roads, and extraction methods.
Prepare and deliver accurate and timely production, planning, and technical reports to support operational decision-making.
Implement and ensure full compliance with established Business Management System (BMS) procedures and workflows.
Train, supervise, and coordinate mine personnel and contractors while liaising closely with geology, processing, and maintenance teams.
Ensure strict adherence to company safety policies, mining regulations, and industry standards with zero regulatory deviations.
Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering or a related discipline.
Minimum 3 years of experience in open pit gold mining operations, preferably using conventional truck and shovel methods.
Basic working knowledge of mine planning principles and practices.
Ability to operate mining software such as Whittle, Surpac, MineSched, Talpac, or similar tools at a basic level.
Strong attention to detail with good organizational and time management skills.
Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Capable of preparing accurate technical records and operational reports.
Effective oral and written communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
