Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the organization's IT systems, manage network and system security, and provide technical support to ensure optimal performance.
- Manage troubleshooting, implement new technologies, and ensure data security across the organization.
- Make sure all users accounts are set up properly.
- Ensure all equipment functions correctly.
- Monitor the records of software licenses.
- Investigate, diagnose and solve computer software and hardware faults.
- Device management: maintain records including serial numbers for each device.
- Ensure insurance for all devices.
- Manage the claim procedures for any damaged or lost devices.
- Technical Support: Provide timely and effective support for hardware, software, and network issues to all employees.
- System Maintenance: Maintain and monitor IT systems, including servers, networks, and applications, to ensure functionality and efficiency.
- Network Administration: Manage the organization's network, ensuring secure and reliable access to network resources.
- Security Management: Implement and maintain security protocols to protect data and systems from threats; conduct regular security assessments and updates.
- Hardware and Software Management: Install, configure, and maintain IT equipment such as computers, printers, routers, and switches; ensure all software is up-to-date and licensed.
- Data Backup and Recovery: Oversee data backup procedures, ensuring data integrity and recoverability in the event of a failure.
- IT Policies and Documentation: Develop and enforce IT policies, procedures, and documentation for system configurations, network mapping, and troubleshooting guides.
- Vendor Management: Liaise with external vendors and service providers to acquire IT products and services, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality.
- Training and Support: Provide training and guidance to staff on using IT systems effectively and safely.
- System Upgrades: Plan and execute system upgrades, migrations, and new technology implementations to support organizational growth and efficiency.
- Provide technical assistance with computer hardware and software.
- Perform hardware and software installations, configurations and updates as needed.
Education
Education Requirement Minimum Bachelor Degree (S1) in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
Work Experience
- Minimum 2 years of working experience.
- Proven experience as an IT Officer, IT Support Specialist, or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of IT systems, networks, and security protocols.
- Proficiency in managing Windows and/or Linux servers, and understanding of cloud services.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills to effectively support users and collaborate with team members.
- Relevant certifications (such as CompTIA, Cisco, or Microsoft) are a plus.
Competency
- Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
- Familiarity with database management and SQL.
- Understanding of firewall management and data encryption.
