Job description

Provide language interpretation from one language to another for individuals with language barriers to understand and communicate with each other.

  • Handle telephone or video calls on demand and render the meaning of conversations in the consecutive mode of interpretation between speakers of English.
  • Process information quickly and concisely, recognize sensitive cultural differences, and always be professional and courteous.
  • The interpreter will use appropriate industry terminology and understand common industry procedures and practices. The calls may involve simple or complex, non-technical or technical subjects in Healthcare, Government, Insurance, Finance, Utilities, Travel and Hospitality, 911 emergency services, Law Enforcement, Courts, and General Business.
  • Excellent listening, retention, and note-taking skills to maintain a high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to concentrate, stay detached from the conversation, and always remain neutral and objective.
  • Ability to quickly establish personal credibility.
  • Ability to follow client's instructions closely.
  • Ability to explain certain cultural concepts to avoid miscommunication with the permission or at the request of the client.
  • B2 CEFR English Level bilingual with other required languages.
  • Able to work from home on a permanent basis.
