As an Engineering Logistics Operative, you'll play a key role in the smooth running of the company's warehouse and stores. You'll ensure materials, components, and finished products move efficiently through the business while maintaining accuracy and high standards.
- Receive, inspect, and book in deliveries of engineering components
- Prepare and dispatch goods to customers or production lines
- Check incoming/outgoing loads for damage or discrepancies
- Organise and store items accurately in the warehouse
- Handle stock using manual and mechanical methods, including forklift duties
- Maintain accurate inventory records and input data into systems
- Ensure a clean, safe, and efficient working environment
- Support work-in-progress movements between engineering work cells
- Assist with swarf collection and recycling
- Cover forklift shopfloor duties when required
- Proven experience in goods in/out, warehousing, or stores (engineering experience preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic IT skills (email, data entry, inventory systems)
- Forklift experience/certification preferred or willingness to train
- Physically fit for manual handling tasks
- Full UK driving licence (over 25 for insurance purposes)
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Mon-Thu: 08:00-17:00 (30-minute lunch)
- Fri: 08:00-13:00 (early finish)
- Total: 39 hours per week
