Role Overview

As an Engineering Logistics Operative, you'll play a key role in the smooth running of the company's warehouse and stores. You'll ensure materials, components, and finished products move efficiently through the business while maintaining accuracy and high standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive, inspect, and book in deliveries of engineering components
  • Prepare and dispatch goods to customers or production lines
  • Check incoming/outgoing loads for damage or discrepancies
  • Organise and store items accurately in the warehouse
  • Handle stock using manual and mechanical methods, including forklift duties
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and input data into systems
  • Ensure a clean, safe, and efficient working environment
  • Support work-in-progress movements between engineering work cells
  • Assist with swarf collection and recycling
  • Cover forklift shopfloor duties when required
What We're Looking For
  • Proven experience in goods in/out, warehousing, or stores (engineering experience preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Basic IT skills (email, data entry, inventory systems)
  • Forklift experience/certification preferred or willingness to train
  • Physically fit for manual handling tasks
  • Full UK driving licence (over 25 for insurance purposes)
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
Working Hours
  • Mon-Thu: 08:00-17:00 (30-minute lunch)
  • Fri: 08:00-13:00 (early finish)
  • Total: 39 hours per week
