Job summary

A growing food distribution company in Eastleigh is seeking an experienced Warehouse Operative for immediate start. This full-time position involves working in a chilled warehouse environment, unloading deliveries, moving pallets, and preparing customer orders. Candidates must have previous warehouse experience, especially in chilled environments. Hours are Monday to Friday from 07:00 to 16:00, with a starting pay rate of £12.21 per hour and potential for a permanent contract after 12 weeks based on performance.

Responsibilities

• Help unload deliveries from vehicles and containers.
• Move pallets of stock into the warehouse.
• Repack food products onto pallets.
• Build and wrap pallets for shipping.
• Prepare customer orders and assist with general warehouse duties.

The Best Connection are currently looking to recruit an experienced Warehouse Operative, to work at our client's busy food distribution warehouse, based in Eastleigh, Southampton.

Duties to include, but not limited to:

• Working for a food distribution company in a chilled warehouse environment
• Helping to unload deliveries from vehicles and containers
• Moving pallets of stock into the warehouse
• Moving food products and repacking onto pallets
• Building and wrapping pallets
• Getting orders ready to be sent out to customers
• Picking and packing
• Assisting with all general warehouse duties

Previous warehouse experience is essential to be considered for this role. Experience within a chilled food warehouse would be advantageous. Please be aware that this is to work in a chilled environment, so please only apply if you are happy to work in the cold.

This is for an immediate start, and an ongoing, full-time position, on a temp-to-perm basis. This means that the company will offer a permanent contract after 12 weeks, depending on performance and attendance.

Working hours are Monday - Friday, 07:00 - 16:00.

Starting pay rate of £12.21 per hour.
