A leading UK university is seeking an Accounts Assistant to prepare statutory accounts and maintain financial records for various subsidiaries. This role offers the opportunity for hybrid working and flexible arrangements. Accounts Assistant
Salary Grade 4 (£23,700 - £25,138 p.a. depending on experience)
This role will be based on the University campus, with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner. We are open to discussing flexible working arrangements.
Based within the Financial Accounting team of the University’s Central Finance Department, you will be responsible for the preparation of the statutory accounts of the University, centralised input of financial data to the SAP finance system and other financial systems and the book‑keeping, accounts maintenance and preparation of accounts for the University’s subsidiaries and other related organisations.
With overall accountability to the Financial Reporting Manager, you will be responsible for the book‑keeping and accounts preparation for a number of the University’s subsidiaries, including purchase ledger, sales invoices, bank reconciliations and VAT returns.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in all areas of accounts preparation for companies, providing accounting services to a number of companies which will be your responsibility.
