The Department of Social Statistics at The University of Manchester seeks applications for a permanent, full-time Lecturer / Senior Lecturer in Artificial Intelligence. The Department is particularly interested in candidates who are forging an international reputation in the intersection of Agentic AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), or Foundational Models, and the social sciences. Applicants must demonstrate that they have a strong academic record of published research, development of toolkits or frameworks, and/or other recognised contributions to society-focused artificial intelligence. Commensurate with experience, applicants should also have a clear and viable strategy for applying for external research funding, as and where appropriate.
