Hours: 9am - 6pm, Monday - Friday

Summary:

Are you an experienced transport professional with a strong background in UK and European logistics? Are you confident in managing time-critical operations in a fast-paced environment?

We are currently seeking a highly organised and proactive Transport Supervisor to join a growing team in Alfreton. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the coordination and supervision of a transport operation across the UK and Europe.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide key support to the Transport Manager in overseeing daily transport operations, ensuring the efficient and timely movement of goods across the UK and Europe.
• Maintain full compliance with UK and European transport legislation, health and safety standards, and company policies.
• Motivate, engage and brief drivers in an appropriate manner and build strong working relationships.
• Proactively identify and resolve issues that may impact delivery performance or customer satisfaction.
• Provide accurate reports on KPIs within the team and assist in implementing continuous improvement strategies to enhance operations and performance.

Key Skills/Experience:

• Proven experience in a Transport Supervisor role or equivalent, working across the UK and Europe.
• Experience in fast-paced, time-critical logistics environments.
• Knowledge of UK and EU driver compliance rules and regulations.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Good working knowledge of transport management systems (TMS) and Microsoft Office.
• CPC qualification (preferred but not essential).
