Job summary
A recruitment agency is seeking a Logistics Supervisor in Slough to manage shipment documentation and enhance logistics efficiency. Candidates should have proven logistics experience, strong skills in warehouse management systems and SAP, as well as advanced Excel capabilities. This role emphasizes problem-solving and proactive management of operations within a dedicated team environment to support high-quality service delivery across various industries.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in logistics, order management, or supply chain operations.
- Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables and data validation.
- Proactive problem-solving approach, with attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage shipment documentation for timely delivery.
- Collaborate with customs brokers and freight forwarders.
- Monitor and resolve operational issues proactively.
Skills
- Ensure all shipment documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, and pallet declarations, is prepared and managed accurately to support timely delivery.
- Maintain and validate shipment data across multiple systems, including ERP, WMS, Excel, and partner platforms, troubleshooting discrepancies as needed.
- Collaborate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and internal teams to facilitate smooth cross-border clearance.
- Monitor and resolve operational issues pro actively, addressing delays, stock discrepancies, and data mismatches.
- Contribute to process improvements, enhancing documentation, systems, and reporting efficiency.
- Build and maintain dashboards to track shipment activities and provide actionable insights.
- Proven experience in logistics, order management, or supply chain operations, ideally within a fast‑paced environment.
- Expertise in warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP software, such as SAP or Syteline.
- Strong Excel skills, including proficiency with pivot tables, lookups, and data validation.
- Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail, with a focus on data accuracy.
- A proactive approach to problem‑solving and a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Strong import & export knowledge especially around documentation, tax codes and import & export documents for border control.
