Job summary
A staffing agency is seeking a Telehandler / Yard Operator near Grantham. This hands-on role involves operating a telehandler, loading/unloading lorries, and maintaining site cleanliness. Skills
We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a Telehandler / Yard Operator to join their team on a temporary to permanent basis. This is a hands‑on, varied role offering long‑term stability for the right person.
This role is based 12 miles outside of Grantham in a rural location therefore own transport is essential.
The working hours for this role are 7am-5pm Monday to Friday.
- Valid Loadall / Telehandler licence
- Previous experience loading and unloading palletised lorries
- Strong focus on working safely at all times
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, practical and willing to get stuck in
- Operating a telehandler to load feed hoppers
- Loading and unloading lorries and bulk materials
- Filling a range of vehicle sizes with bulk product
- Carrying out general manual duties across the site
- Ripping and tipping materials (including flour for feed production)
- Jet washing containers, equipment, and machinery
- Maintaining site cleanliness, including: General site cleaning, Waste and rubbish removal, Painting and basic maintenance, Clearing weeds and outdoor areas
- A steady, year‑round role with temp‑to‑perm progression
- A varied workload—no two days the same
