Job summary
A recruitment agency is seeking a detail-oriented Strip and Fit Technician for the automotive sector in Rochester. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a similar role, a valid UK driving licence, and strong mechanical skills. Responsibilities include stripping and fitting vehicle components, conducting quality checks, and assisting other team members. This full-time position offers a pay rate of £17.21 per hour.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a Strip and Fit or similar role.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Good knowledge of vehicle components and assembly/disassembly techniques.
Responsibilities
- Stripping and fitting panels and carrying out repairs.
- Fit and align vehicle panels, trims, bumpers, lights, and other components.
- Removing parts and panels off a range of vehicles.
- Carry out quality checks to ensure proper fit and finish.
- Assist body technicians and paint team as required.

We’re looking for a Strip and Fit Technician to join our team and play a vital role in the vehicle repair and refinishing process.
- Stripping and fitting panels and carrying out repairs in line with approved standards
- Fit and align vehicle panels, trims, bumpers, lights, and other components post-repair
- Removing parts and panels off a range of vehicles
- Carry out quality checks to ensure proper fit and finish
- Assist body technicians and paint team as required
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Follow all health and safety regulations
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a Strip and Fit or similar role, full UK driving licence, good knowledge of vehicle components and assembly/disassembly technique, ability to work independently and efficiently, high attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship.
Shift: Monday to Friday 6.30am to 4.30pm
Pay rate £17.21ph
