A leading energy company is seeking a Shift Operations & Maintenance Technician to join their team in King’s Lynn. This full-time role involves ensuring the safe operation of the plant and supporting maintenance activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering background and prior experience in process operations. We have a rewarding opportunity for Shift Operations & Maintenance Technicians to join us at King’s Lynn power station!
King’s Lynn is a combined cycle gas turbine (CCGT) power plant with a capacity of 382MW and can meet the needs of up to 400,000 households. The highly flexible plant has an efficiency of 54 percent.

As a member of the Operations and Maintenance Team, you will contribute towards delivering the safe, reliable operation and commercial performance of our plant along with supporting ongoing continuous improvements to maximise the potential of the station within the RWE Gas UK portfolio. The post holder will be responsible for operating King’s Lynn plant locally from the Central Control Room working with the Remote Support provided by Staythorpe Power Station. This will include fault diagnosis and breakdown recovery.
We will require you to perform O&M duties on a shift basis as required, as well as collaborating with site-based maintenance team, supporting with plant outages and recommissioning as required. As the trend towards growing volumes of renewable generation continues, you should expect maintenance routines to form a growing part of your core role.
