***INSTRUMENTATION & ELECTRICAL TECHNICIAN***
We are delighted to be recruiting a skilled, proactive and professional Instrumentation & Electrical Technician to join our Hampshire based clients. Working as part of their maintenance team, supporting the smooth operation of production and gas plant facilities across their sites. You'll play a key role in ensuring critical instrumentation, control, and electrical systems operate safely, efficiently, and reliably therefore helping to keep the plant running smoothly 24/7.
An excellent package is on offer in line with industry standards and experience plus excellent benefits including, Call outs are paid at 5 hours base rate plus minimum of 5 hours at x 1.5 base rate (Monday to Friday) or x 2.0 base rate for weekends and Bank Holidays.

Key responsibilities for the Instrumentation & Electrical Technician include,
- Carrying out routine and non-routine maintenance on a wide range of process control and electrical equipment
- Servicing and calibrating instrumentation such as transmitters, controllers, and analysers
- Supporting vendor maintenance activities and assisting during installation and commissioning of new facilities
- Performing equipment isolations and ensuring all maintenance is completed safely and in line with procedures
- Liaising with contractors, vendors, and colleagues to ensure maintenance tasks meet the highest standards
- Participating in a 24-hour call-out rota, providing technical support for plant breakdowns
- Maintaining excellent housekeeping standards and promoting a safe working environment
The ideal Instrumentation & Electrical Technician will need the following,
- 4-5 years' hands‑on maintenance experience in instrumentation and/or electrical systems, ideally in the chemicals, pharmaceutical, oil & gas, energy, or process industries
- Qualifications: Apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 (Instrumentation or Electrical), with solid understanding of both disciplines
- Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Proactive and able to prioritise tasks effectively
- Confident working independently and as part of a multi‑skilled team
- IT literate, with a diligent and reliable approach
- Familiarity with oil & gas operations or hazardous area working would be advantageous
- Flexibility as some weekend, evening, and bank holiday work will be required as part of a call‑out rota
- Full UK driving licence and own vehicle essential
