Job summary
A technology recruitment agency is seeking a Systems Administrator in Greater Lincolnshire. The role requires on-site presence 4-5 days per week and active DV clearance. Responsibilities include monitoring systems, managing user accounts, and providing technical support. Ideal candidates should have proven experience in complex IT environments, with previous defence sector experience being essential. The contract offers a daily rate of £450 - £500 for an initial period of 6 months.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Systems Administrator in a complex IT environment.
- Previous experience within a defence or highly secure environment is essential.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyse system logs to proactively identify and resolve potential issues.
- Apply operating system updates, security patches, and configuration changes.
- Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software.
- Manage user accounts, including creation, modification, and password resets.
- Provide technical support to users and respond to technical queries.
- Troubleshoot and resolve reported system and network problems.
- Optimise and tune system performance.
- Ensure continuous availability and reliability of network infrastructure.
Skills
Systems Administrator Location: Lincolnshire (On-site 4-5 days / week) Start Date: January 2026 Rate: £450 - £500 / day Outside IR35 Clearance: Active DV (mandatory) Contract Length: 6 months (initial)

- Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
- Experience working with enterprise hardware, storage, networking, and security platforms.
- Previous experience within a defence or highly secure environment is essential.
You will be required on-site 4-5 days per week in Lincolnshire and will need Active DV Clearance to be considered for this role.
