A UK-based IT company is looking for a Systems Administrator / Developer to manage servers and networks while developing internal solutions using Python and SQL. The role offers a salary up to £35,000, 25 days holiday, and a 37-hour workweek in an office-based environment. Qualifications

• Experience managing and maintaining servers, networks, firewalls, and IT infrastructure.
• Proficient in developing internal business solutions using Python and SQL.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain servers, networks, and core IT infrastructure.
• Monitor system performance, security, backups, and storage.
• Support and improve the IT service desk function.

Skills

Strong experience in a Windows Server environment

Knowledge of Active Directory, Entra, networking and VLANs

Programming experience with Python and SQL

Working knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript

Experience with PowerShell, Power BI / DAX and M365

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Education

Computer Science, IT or related degree (or equivalent experience)
