A leading engineering consultancy is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer for their Manchester site. The role involves analyzing complex steel structures and supporting submarine build projects. Candidates should have a degree in Structural, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering, approximately 5 years of experience, and expertise in structural steel analysis. Knowledge of ANSYS and STAAD is essential. This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of £40-£48 LTD based on experience.

To execute, evaluate, deliver and manage complex engineering and/or cross functional tasks or programmes of work recognising stakeholder and customer requirements. Also to identify and implement opportunities for personal and team development to ensure that professional capability of the business and individual are maintained and improved.
The Specialist Structures Engineering (SSR) team is a specialist team of Engineers, who together provides the business with the capability to design all of the major structural elements that support the build of a nuclear submarine. This includes the design of rigs, jigs and fixtures, over a vast range of load bearing capacities, including small castings to submarine mega units. The team are regularly faced with tight deadlines requiring resolution in order to support the submarine build schedule. The team comprises a mix of experienced Mechanical, Structural and Civil Engineers.
