Senior / Associate Structural Engineer sought at this growing SME Structural Consultancy. The role is based in London.

Overview

Our client is a vibrant and forward-thinking structural consultancy looking for a skilled Senior Engineer to assist in the running of a team and grow with the company.

You'll work on a range of projects including complex refurbishments, mass housing projects, school projects, as well as architecturally challenging private residential projects and healthcare schemes. And you’ll be part of a team who are imaginative, creative and ambitious—striving to do things better. We are looking for like‑minded individuals who can help us continue to deliver these amazing projects and have a positive impact on society.

Responsibilities
  • Structural analysis, design and detailing for all types of buildings and materials generally to UK building codes.
  • Supervision and management of other engineers and BIM technicians.
  • Coordination of design work with in‑house and external staff, as well as other design professionals including Architects and other Engineering disciplines.
  • Communicate with clients and other design professionals to understand project requirements.
  • Role will involve some travel within the UK.
  • Help with training their next generation of engineers.
Requirements
  • Degree (Master’s or equivalent preferred) in structural engineering or related field.
  • Chartered Engineer Status (IStructE) preferred.
  • 6+ years of post‑graduate background, mostly within the UK.
  • Strong technical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills – verbal, written and graphical / sketches.
  • Working knowledge preferred of current industry software, such as Autodesk Robot, Tekla Structural Designer / Tedds, Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office.
