A leading recruitment agency is looking for a Firmware Engineer in Westerham, England. This role is critical to the design and development of innovative control devices. Candidates should have over 5 years of firmware development experience and a solid understanding of C/C++ programming. The position involves working closely with engineering teams and managing the development process from conception to production, ensuring high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in firmware development engineering.
  • Proven track record in design leadership for product development.
  • Excellent experience in hardware and electro-mechanical design.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and participate in the development of firmware for control devices.
  • Develop firmware for new products from conception to production.
  • Debug and fault find existing code.

Skills

C / C++ programming
Real time operating systems (Free RTOS)
Micro Controllers knowledge
Communication protocols (I2C, RS232, RS485, MQTT, IoT)
WiFi and Bluetooth knowledge

Education

Degree level qualification (2:1 or above)
