Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency, has a new permanent position available for a Social Worker & Senior Social Worker within the Supporting Disabled Children's Service, based in Wandsworth.

The salary for this role is up to £57,127 per annum.

1. Act as the lead professional in statutory cases requiring a qualified social worker, including child protection, care proceedings, and looked after children cases.
2. Undertake the full range of social work tasks with children in need and their families, including assessment, planning, implementation, and review (APIR).
3. Coordinate the team around the child to ensure a multi-disciplinary approach to APIR and safeguarding.
4. Establish and develop collaborative working relationships with allied health and social care practitioners from children's and adults' services.
5. Develop a strong understanding of evidence-based practice and incorporate models of best practice into daily service delivery.
6. Participate actively in professional supervision and annual appraisal (PrP) reviews, taking responsibility for the quality of practice.
7. Build professional credibility within the multi-professional partnership by achieving practice standards and meeting performance targets, including providing accredited practice teaching as needed.
8. Understand and incorporate key council policies related to social care with children and families, emphasizing multi-disciplinary working, integration, and whole family approaches.
9. Develop expertise in at least one key risk factor affecting children's welfare, such as parental substance misuse, mental health issues, domestic abuse, learning difficulties, or homelessness.
10. Gain comprehensive knowledge of and collaborate with local preventative and targeted family support services, especially those offered by voluntary and community sectors.
11. Suggest ideas for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of council services to children and families.
12. Contribute to reviewing council policies and procedures, particularly social work guidance and protocols.

• A recognized social work qualification or equivalent.
