Requirements include:

Previous experience and knowledge:

• Academic background in Computer Science, Engineering, Maths, Finance or related.
• 5-7 years’ experience working in FI eTrading environment.
• Expertise using and supporting ION trading (equivalent system expertise will also be valuable).
• In-depth Fixed Income platform experience (Bloomberg, MarketAxess, Tradeweb).
• Deep understanding of FI products (Swaps, Bonds etc).
• Pricing and auto negotiation rules.
• Proficiency in trading life cycle from front to back and straight through processing (STP).
• Ensure stability across the bank’s eCommerce environment, liaising with IT resources to correct any faults, issues or questions.
• Experience supporting electronic Credit, Rates and Interest Rates Swap trading.
• Knowledge of eTrading workflows (RFQ/RFSQ, ESP API connectivity to Venues etc. for the above products.
• Functional experience of D2D/D2C markets (Bloomberg, MarketAxess, Tradeweb).
• Experience gathering user requirements, UAT setup & testing, Production deployment and support.
• Good Fixed Income products & markets knowledge.
• Proficiency in Excel.
• Knowledge of programming concepts.
• Previous experience with Fixed Income electronic trading systems.
• Java, C, Python, SQL.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills in particular ability to communicate with trading and sales teams on a trade floor.
• Accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritise issues, requests and projects from trading, sales and clients simultaneously.

Overview:

The BBVA Global Markets eCommerce team is seeking a candidate with ION Trading experience or equivalent expertise in supporting Fixed Income products (Credit, Rates and derivatives). The individual will be partnering with and supporting trading, sales and clients directly on all aspects of electronic trading. This includes, but is not limited to client support, technical support, automated pricing definition, project management, change management, BAU administration, as well as a range of other activities supporting the Global Markets business as a whole. The individual must have excellent communication and organisational skills and be comfortable on a trade floor in order to successfully deliver in a high-stress environment.
