Apply your clinical expertise in a diverse social service environment aligned with the Hōkai Rangi pathway Mō te tūnga | About the role Kia Marama is a Special Treatment Unit at Rolleston Prison, delivering two psychological treatment programmes for individuals who have committed child sexual offences. These programmes support the Department's goal of reducing re-offending and contributing to a safer Aotearoa. Our team carries out clinical assessments and group treatment, provides supervision, training and advice within Corrections and to partner agencies, consults with the NZ Parole Board and the Courts, and contributes to a range of service development initiatives. We operate across both moderate and high intensity treatment environments, within a therapeutic community setting. Holds a Master's degree in Psychology and is registered with the New Zealand Psychologists Board
Has experience in risk assessment within a similar context (desirable)
Demonstrates culturally responsive practice and a commitment to working effectively with Māori
Understands and applies Te Ao Māori, Tikanga Māori, and bi-cultural practice
Works well within a collaborative and supportive professional environment

Ngā painga | The benefits The salary range for the role is $83,286 - $133,370 per annum. Psychologists also have the ability to work towards additional allowances and allocated professional development funding. We may also offer flexible and / or part-time options for working hours. Appointment and remuneration will reflect skills and experience relevant to the role.
