We are seeking an experienced Regional Procurement Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will manage our European Procurement team, develop and execute procurement strategies, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimise our supply chain and enhance productivity.
Responsibilities
- Manage and develop the European Procurement team while building procurement strategies for the production facilities and regional offices.
- Oversee negotiation of supply agreements, ensuring alignment with company contract templates and risk terms, involving legal and/or treasury as required.
- Mitigate supply chain risks by qualifying multiple sources instead of single-sole source.
- Collaborate with internal scope owners to review the status and strategy behind contracts.
- Enhance supplier relationships and work with the global supply chain to track and optimize our supply chain.
- Collaborate with various functions (Operations, Technical, Logistics, Business, Finance, Treasury, Trade) to drive improvement and cost optimization initiatives.
- Manage and report transactional performance and cost savings.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within procurement, optimizing processes via super users.
- Ensure purchasing practices are fully aligned with our company’s policies, internal financial controls, and legal requirements.
- Develop and monitor supplier KPIs to ensure adherence to measurable quality and performance standards.
Essential Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Procurement, or a related field, OR a minimum of 5 years of experience in a Procurement Manager role.
- 5+ years previous Procurement/Sourcing/Supply Chain experience in a complex environment.
- Previous experience leading and managing a team, including setting performance goals, coaching team members, and driving results.
- Proven experience in the procurement of indirect (MRO, Services, Supplies) and direct materials (Raw Materials, Packaging, Energy).
- Previous experience using ERP Systems, specific in Procurement with an in depth understanding of the Requisition to Pay process.
- Organizational skills that ensure the effective execution of goals, so that deadlines are met on time.
- Demonstrated understanding of commodities and related markets.
- Sufficient knowledge of international trade to comply with supply chain requirements.
- Proven track record of strong negotiation skills and procurement tactics.
- Legal knowledge of framework agreements and ability to negotiate critical terms and conditions.
- Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills with a strong eye for detail.
- Strong knowledge of data management for MRP materials and vendors.
- Ability to evaluate, problem solve and mitigate risk for the sites and scope owners.
- Comprehensive understanding of experience E-Commerce systems, integration of ERP systems, catalogues, and automation.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across functions and engagement with third parties.
- Proficient in computer applications including MS Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Exhibited capability to provide timely decisions to key stakeholders.
- Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability, with a proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Legal right to work in the UK, without the requirement for The LYCRA Company to act as a Visa Sponsor.
Desirable
- Experience with SAP P2P and SAP Ariba functionality, preferable international / cross regions.
- Experience working in a multinational manufacturing organization.
- CIPS Procurement and Supply training certification.
- Competent in the use of BI and/or Power-BI.
