Job Overview
Experienced Supervisor / Assistant Manager to join our Compliance team in our Cheltenham or Bristol office.
Responsibilities
Preparing and reviewing UK statutory financial statements in accordance with FRS 102.
Planning, scheduling and coordinating audit work and assisting with all audit queries.
Coordinating with internal accounting teams and drafting clear, concise, and accurate emails for clients.
Ensuring compliance work is delivered on time, with minimal supervision.
Supporting the Compliance Team on assigned tasks and clients; drafting responses to client queries, dealing with ad‑hoc inquiries and exercising initiative in different situations.
Escalating any issues or concerns to the Compliance line manager as appropriate.
Assisting with compliance work for non‑UK companies; training will be provided for handling third parties.
Required Attributes
Previous experience in UK statutory financial preparation, review, or audit, gained within public practice and preferably within a business solutions or audit environment.
Part qualification (ACA/ACCA) highly desirable; ongoing study support can be provided.
Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritise tasks appropriately.
Ability to deliver consistent responses and high standards on the first attempt and maintain strong attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to quickly gain trust and develop relationships with clients and colleagues.
Willingness to share knowledge within the team and conduct research as needed.
IT skills – proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; experience with IRIS is highly desirable.
Interest in the broader vision of Global Business Solutions and the wider Firm’s client services.
