Job summary
A leading design-and-build contractor is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team in Exeter. This role involves managing a portfolio of projects valued between £5m and £15m, ensuring full ownership of commercial delivery, cost control, and performance reporting. Responsibilities include preparing applications and valuations, maintaining cost control, and managing supply chain performance. The position offers a competitive salary of £48,000 - £60,000 plus a package. Hybrid working is available.

This business operates at a national scale, delivering high-value frameworks and capital programmes.
Reporting to the Project Commercial Lead, the Quantity Surveyor will manage a portfolio of projects on this high profile utilities framework. Project values will vary from £5m to £15m and you'll be given the opportunity to put your own mark on each project. The role requires full ownership of commercial and contractual delivery, cost control, and performance reporting.
- Prepare applications, valuations, and cost / value reconciliations
- Maintain cost control and forecasting across allocated packages
- Produce and analyse weekly and monthly reports on value, cost, and cash flow
- Manage supply chain engagement, negotiation, and performance
- Support risk and value management processes
- Administer NEC contracts and maintain accurate commercial documentation
