We are hiring a skilled Maintenance Engineer on behalf of a leading food manufacturer in Brighton. If you have strong mechanical and electrical expertise and are looking for a temp to perm role in a fast-paced environment, this opportunity could be ideal.
- Maintain and repair factory equipment (60% mechanical, 40% electrical).
- Diagnose and resolve faults to minimize downtime.
- Perform preventative maintenance to optimize efficiency.
- Support food safety and product quality standards.
- Work closely with the Senior Engineer to improve processes.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
- Experience with food production machinery, including conveyors, mixers, fillers, and checkweighers.
- Basic welding and fabrication skills are a plus.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience, preferably in food manufacturing or pharmaceuticals.
- Safety-focused and quality-driven professional.
- Proactive problem solver with strong technical expertise.
- Team player with effective communication skills.
- Adaptable to a fast-paced production environment.
