This full-time Cover Supervisor role is an ideal opportunity for aspiring educators, recent graduates, or individuals with strong classroom experience looking to contribute meaningfully to the life of a school. You'll supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of teachers, ensuring students remain on task and complete the work set.

Requirements

• Experience working with young people in a school or similar setting.
• Eligibility to work in the UK.
• Strong classroom presence and ability to maintain discipline.
• An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-set lesson plans across a variety of subjects.
• Supervise whole classes in the absence of the regular teacher.
• Manage student behaviour to ensure a focused classroom environment.
• Provide support and encouragement to students in completing tasks.
• Record attendance and report incidents as per school policy.
• Promote a positive and respectful learning culture.
• Help students understand and engage with their work.
• Provide feedback to teaching staff on pupil progress and behaviour.
• Keep students on task and motivated.
• Support individual or small groups of students when needed.
• Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff.
