Year 5 Primary Teacher – Long-Term Contract | Angmering | Spring & Summer Term

Sussex Teachers is proud to be working in partnership with Small Church School in Angmering to recruit an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 5 Teacher for a long-term contract covering the Spring and Summer terms.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a caring and inclusive school community that values creativity, curiosity, and respect. The successful candidate will join a supportive Key Stage 2 team and play an active role in helping pupils grow in confidence and achievement during the final half of the academic year.

About the Role

Position: Year 5 Class Teacher
Contract: Long-term, full-time (Spring and Summer Term 2026)
Start Date: January 2026
Pay: MPS (Main Pay Scale) – Paid weekly via PAYE (no umbrella companies)

The school is looking for a teacher who can bring energy, commitment, and high expectations to the Year 5 classroom. You’ll plan and deliver engaging lessons, assess progress effectively, and contribute to a warm, collaborative team environment.

• Plan and deliver inspiring and well-structured lessons in line with the national curriculum.
• Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment where all pupils feel valued and supported.
• Assess, record, and report on pupils’ progress, celebrating achievement and identifying next steps.
• Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and parents to promote pupil wellbeing and learning.
• Parents Evenings

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent experience teaching Key Stage 2.
• Strong classroom management and the ability to engage and motivate pupils.
• A reflective practitioner who is committed to high standards and continuous improvement.
• A team player with excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Sensitivity to the ethos and values of a Faith primary school
